»Vi ønsker en dansk biblioteksleder«, lyder det fra et folkebibliotek i New Zealand, hvis ambition er at blive landets bedste på fem år. Læs mere om stillingen her.

BF er blevet kontaktet af bibliotekskonsulent Anthony Lewis, der hjælper folkebiblioteket i Nelson med at nå målet. Han har besøgt Danmark for år tilbage og er imponeret af det danske biblioteksvæsen og danske bibliotekarer. Han vil derfor gerne opfordre danske biblioteksfolk til at søge stillingen med frist 28. marts.

We need a dynamic, talented people leader who’s seeking an exciting challenge:

Transform the FIRST Public Library (1841) into the BEST Public Library by 2023

From implementing our strategic vision to contributing to the upcoming redevelopment of our main library, and leading the operations of our Library team, this is a unique role. We want to ensure these public spaces continue to meet the needs of our community now and into the future.

You will be passionate about improving literacy and the role of libraries in delivering life-long learning opportunities. High energy, excellent communication and the ability to think strategically are important in this position.

Your leadership skills will be used to support the Team Leaders to provide the day-to-day operational management of our three public libraries. You’ll also contribute as part of the wider leadership team across Council and deliver change in a library environment, aligned with our vision.

You will:

  • Have a professional foundation of public librarianship
  • Have an ability to lead people to a challenging vision
  • Be an exemplary communicator
  • Have organisational brilliance
  • Be a strategic thinker who can translate ideas into achievement
