The Danish Union of Librarians - Union of Information Specialists and Cultural Intermediaries - is an independent trade union, formed to secure wage and working conditions and to cultivate the profession of librarianship in Denmark. Today the Danish Union of Librarians organize approximately 4.300 members.

Approximately 1,800 are employed in the municipalities, about 700 are state-employed and about 300 are employed in the private sector. The rest of the members are either student members, retired members, passive members or members without permanent employment.
